  • Commanding Officer of USS Dwight D. Eisenhower, a Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carrier. Solely responsible for the safety and morale of 3,200 crew. Managed systems to launch and recover Navy aircraft, from nuclear propulsion and navigation to ship and aircraft repair to hotel and galley services.

  • Awarded the 2021 Navy Excellence award for deployed operations with 5,200 embarked Sailors

  • Financial, operational and at sea leadership of a $4 Billion ship with embarked assets over $1 Billion

  • Managed a successful year long $400 million shipyard maintenance and repair period returning a fully qualified crew and ship to afloat operations with new equipment and high leadership turnover


  • Aircraft Carrier Requirements Officer for the Chief of Naval Operations in the Pentagon. Led 7 highly skilled contract and government civilians in priorities and force structure, directly influencing Department of the Navy strategy as the service's principal advisor on carrier capability and operations.

  • Developed and programmed the Navy's $4 Billion Aircraft Carrier budget


  • Commanding Officer of USS Lewis B. Puller, the Navy's first Expeditionary Staging Base. Led a team of 150 Navy Sailors and Civilian Mariners operating exclusively in the Middle East supporting US Special Forces. Conducted afloat operations with multi-national partners onboard in the Arabian Gulf.

    Executive Officer of USS Gerald R. Ford, the first in a new class of Nuclear Powered Aircraft Carriers valued at $13 Billion. Successfully grew the crew from 1,200 to 2,600 ensuring execution across 19 departments while taking ownership of evolutionary technology and safely getting the ship to sea.

    Commanding Officer of Strike Fighter Squadron Fifteen, an F/A-18 Squadron. Provided tactical and operational leadership of 250 Sailors maintaining and flying 10 aircraft valued at over $400 Million. Led combat operations and exercises in the US and abroad as a Mission Lead and Strike Fighter Instructor.

  • Awarded the 2011 Navy Excellence award for operations


  • Action Officer at the United States Special Operations Command. Oversaw a classified program targeting global terrorist networks, liaising with all federal agencies to disrupt adversary ops. Deployed to Iraq as a Task Force support officer providing real time fires and air support to Special Forces.

    Education. B.S. From the United States Military Academy in Environmental Science, Harvard Kennedy School National Security Fellow and graduate of the Navy Nuclear Propulsion School.
